ReStore accepts new and gently used household items, building materials and home improvement supplies. Below is a list of some of the items we accept. This list changes frequently and may not list everything we accept. So if in doubt…just give us a call! Also please make sure the donation is clean and functional.

  • Air Conditioning- running condition – whole house or window
  • Appliances (clean and in working condition)
  • Bath Tubs (clean and in good condition)
  • Cabinets (Kitchen and Bathroom)
  • Carpet (Clean, remnants)
  • Ceiling fans
  • Doors (Interior & Exterior, Raised panel, glass, etc.)
  • Electrical – fixtures, parts and supplies
  • Flooring Materials (Ceramic, vinyl, wood.)
  • Furniture – Home or antique (overall good condition – no worn or stained upholstery)
  • Hardware (knobs, hinges, locks. Also: nails, screws, nuts, bolts and fasteners)
  • Insulation (new)
  • Lighting products
  • Lumber – 6 ft or longer; Plywood: half sheet or larger; Trim: free of rot, nails and screws – no scraps
  • Paint (new only) and painting supplies
  • Pipe/PVC/Metal/Copper
  • Roofing Materials/Gutters
  • Toilets
  • Tools
  • Wallpaper
  • Windows (Vinyl, Aluminum, Wood — all sizes; new construction and retro-fits)

Donations are sold to shoppers at discounted prices—typically 50-75% below retail value. Proceeds from the ReStore help the affiliate and construction crew build even more affordable homes for qualified families in Cleveland County.

Useful materials are recycled and reused to help the environment.

Useful materials are kept out of landfills and put to use by those who need them.

Donations from our community provide affordable building materials, furniture and household items enabling more people to repair and remodel their homes and businesses.

Donations support Habitat for Humanity’s objectives of building safe, affordable, energy efficient houses for low-income families, and the revitalization of neighborhoods.

Yes, donations made to the ReStore are tax deductible. Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland County is a charitable organization under tax code 501(c)(3). At the time of donation, the ReStore staff will provide you with a Receipt for Donated Goods that can be used for tax purposes.

Because we sell most items at 45% to 90% off normal retail value, every purchase is a great deal. However, we offer specials from time to time where you can save even MORE! Check our Facebook page for new product arrivals, ReStore special events information and Saturdays are 10% off for seniors 62 and older.

Our inventory changes often as we receive new items daily. Stop by often so you don’t miss a thing. Also Check out our Facebook page where we upload pictures of new items!

There are several different ways you can help the ReStore!

  2. Tell your friends about us to help spread the word about our stores and help us receive donations of good quality, sellable materials.
  3. Volunteer! The Habitat ReStore is always looking for volunteers to help with stocking shelves, cleaning and repairing donations, and general store upkeep.
